Keynote Speaker – Assistant Secretary of Labor, Kathy Martinez

EmploymentLINK is proud to announce Kathy Martinez this year’s Keynote speaker. Kathy Martinez is the head of US department of Labor’s office of Disability and employment policy (ODEP). She was nominated by president Obama and confirmed by the Senate in 2009 . Ms. Martinez advises the Secretary of Labor and works with all DOL agencies to lead a comprehensive and coordinated national policy regarding the employment of people with disabilities.

The 2013 conference will focus on the evolving workforce. Attendees will have the opportunity to examine the factors of maintaining a mature workerforce as they exprience changes in abilities;  develop strategies and identify resources to retain the talents of skilled and experienced workers. At EmploymentLINK you will hear from Ms. Martinez about the US Labor department’s vision for people with disabilities including policies and practices affecting an increase in the employment and job retention of people with disabilities.
